Immediately after Emo brought Commander Niles back from the past, Niles attacked the party. During the battle a small group of what looked like Order of the Gauntlet soldiers came into the floating tower.
The party discovers that the bodies of the Yuan-ti Abomination’s are nowhere to be found. They realize that bringing Commander Niles back from the past and defeating him in the present has changed the current timeline.
The party returns to Jamus’s hideout to find that the entrance has been heavily fortified and they learn that Jamus sent them to the island to defeat a group of former Order of the Gauntlet turned raiders. Not to investigate the tower.
Jamus fulfils his end of the agreement and takes the party the other side of the island where he picked up the Emberpaw Tribe. The party learned of the location of Dargoth’s lair while passing the seaside cliff face on the far side the island. While sailing the party discussed to either investigate the location believed to be Dargoth’s lair or to travel into Deep Jungle toward the Black Smoke Pillar in the sky which is believed to be the location of Acererak temple. The party decides to head toward the Pillar with a promise from Jamus that he will return in two days or if the Black Pillar disappears from the sky.
While the party is traveling through Deep Jungle they come across a river crossing with a massive stone statue in the center of the river. During the crossing Emo thought he saw the statue move. The party continued into jungle to find a small village with no guards or defenses of any kind. While in the town the group visited the Night Crawlers Inn run by an elf looking woman named Matilda. The party learned she came here as a child and has lived here ever since.
The party being uncomfortable with the villages air of ignorance to their surroundings deploy there tower in an open field by the tree line not before inviting the whole town to visit them. During the night the party discovers a think mist floating above Kinmuan and they realize that this mist was actually a Vampire. Upon being discovered ran away from the tower. The party not chasing a vampire in the night stayed the in the tower until morning with a very worry Drim who is worry about his new friend he mat last night. In the morning they go back into the village and question Matilda about this vampire.
Matilda attacked the party after being questioned about this Vampire. During the battle the party hears a sounds of riot in the streets and through the windows the party sees a group of Orcs with Order of the Gauntlet tabards on with torches burning down the houses. The party begins to run upstairs.
