Odo and Lynx-O make their way through the mist and discover a small hut in the middle of a clearing in the forest. As they enter the hut they realize that the hut must be using some sort of illusionary magic to conceal the size of the hut, since they have now entered into a massive chamber with three female elves sitting around a table while Dumas is sleeping in a large bed in the corner of the room.
During this time Fabian, while searching for Dumas, was attacked and killed by a mysterious Elf named Matilda.
Back at the hut the party learns that Dumas had been taken to the forest by two members of Blackwing, a secret assassin for hire organization. However before the members of Blackwing could carry out their task, it appears that they were attacked by some kind of magic brought on by the mist. And Dumas was brought to the hut to recover.
The three Elfs explain to the party that they are being hunted by Blackwing and they can help them escape the city; however they must accept three favors from the three Elfs. Odo, realizing that these women are in fact Hags from the FeyWild, attacks the Hags and sacrifices himself so that Dumas and Lynx-O are able to escape the forest.
Lynx-O and Dumas return to the Drunken Monk to rest, where they find Alder waiting for them, explaining that Fabian is dead and that Blackwing is attacking her operation in order to find the Party. Alder offers passage on a ship for the party to escape the city and warns them to avoid the Sword Coast.
Once on the ship the party begins to head East and learns that Alder through the Lotus Knights has brought on Ulfhir a Blood Hunter to protect the party during their travels.
