After thorough research in the libraries of Candlekeep, the party decides to journey by sea to Coppertree Island to investigate the mysterious Jade Pyramid.
Coppertree Island was named after Captain Coppertree, a renowned Lizardfolk who discovered the island over ten years ago while escorting a group of adventurers here at the close of the Death Curse. The party enlists the experienced Khabar Cimmo to captain their ship and ensure a safe voyage.
Upon reaching the island, they find the remains of an old merchant ship named Jade Wake scattered along the dock. Suddenly, Luciel and the party are “ambushed” by a giant crab possessed by a Glabrezu—a demonic entity from the Abyss known to hunt followers of Toedd. The encounter sets a grim tone for their exploration, hinting that greater dangers lie ahead on this enigmatic island.
