While trying to bring Louis Ravencrest to the city gates, the party passes by their house to find a group of Vermillion Guards arguing with Toedd who was away in the fight pits during the night.
They party decide to spit up and sneak Louis to the city gates via the flying broom while the rest of the party negotiates with the Guards.
Dumas, Toedd and Fabian are arrested under suspicion of harboring a Ravencrest. Lynx-O manages to get to the city gates where as it turns out that Alder is the guide who will be taking Louis Ravencrest out of the city. However Alder takes Lynx-O and Louis to the Crimson Citadel instead as she is working for the Empress.
Dumas, Toedd and Fabian are taken to the Citadel and are granted an audience with Empress Castlereagh as well as Lynx-O who under Alders advice is to hand over Louis to Castlereagh.
While at this meeting with the Empress they are introduced to Zorin, a young Druid arrested for selling Dreammist to nobles.
The party learns that Empress Castlereagh is Narri Castlereagh, former member of the Raven Lords. Narri left with her Army and removed the Ravencrest family and took control over Castlemere. The Ravencrests were a puppet monarchy controlled by the Raven Lords.
Narri tasks the Party to investigate all the strange events that have been happening in the city, believing they are linked to the Raven Lords trying to destabilize the city.
On notes from Victoria Greycastle and Narri the party head to the city square at dawn and find a group of Drow summoning a Chimera.
